Leisy's Garden — El Valle, Samaná
RAÍZ
Root down. Return changed.
A five-day immersion in a working Caribbean garden. Four nights. One party at a time. Everything included from the moment you land.
The Garden Immersion · An all-inclusive experience
The Premise
Most wellness travel sells you distance. We built the opposite.
The usual promise is escape — somewhere far enough from your life that you can forget it for a week, then return to exactly what you left. The forgetting is the product. The change rarely survives the flight home.
Raíz is built the other way around. Five days inside a living, working garden in the hills of El Valle, where the food on your plate was in the soil that morning, the day moves to the rhythm of light rather than a schedule, and the practices you are given are simple enough to carry home in your hands.
You will be fed from the beds around you, moved gently each morning, worked on by skilled hands, rested through the long afternoons, and slowly returned to yourself — by the garden, by the table, and by the people who tend both.
What grows here is meant to keep growing in you after you leave.
Raíz — Spanish for root. The name is the whole idea: a few days spent rooting back into your body, your food, and the ground under your feet, so that something planted has a chance to hold.
The Shape of It
Five days. Four nights. One rhythm that repeats.
Not a packed itinerary — a single daily rhythm, held gently, so your body can stop planning and start listening. You always know the shape of the day. Only the centre of it changes.
- Sunrise — grounding practice
- breath & gentle movement
- Morning — the garden table
- breakfast from the beds
- Midday — the day's one anchor
- the experience that changes
- Afternoon — protected rest
- hammock, water, stillness
- Sunset — closing practice
- a quiet return
- After dark — the slow table
- a long communal dinner
The garden is the protagonist. Every day touches it, returns to it, and eats from it. The experience is guided by a trained host and a small team of practitioners — a movement guide and a bodyworker — so the care you receive never depends on a single person, and the standard never drops.
The day moves to the rhythm of light, not to a clipboard.
The Arc
The five days
A loose arc that works no matter which day you arrive — designed to be bookable any time of year.
Day One
Arrive & Land
Private transfer in, a cold-pressed welcome, and a barefoot walk through the garden so you meet the place as something alive. A light settling practice at dusk, an early table, an early sleep. The whole day's work is to let go.
Day Two
Nourish
The garden day. A harvest and foraging walk, an hour with your hands in the soil, a cacao moment, and a cooking session where you prepare lunch from what you picked. The emotional centre of the immersion.
Day Three
Move & Release
The body day. Morning movement, then a private bodywork session, then a true afternoon of rest paired with water — the shore or a waterfall. The day the body opens and is then held.
Day Four
Connect
The outward day. A guided excursion to the coast or a waterfall, closed by the high point of the food arc — a ceremonial table that evening, a proper feast pulled from the garden.
Day Five
Integrate & Return
A quiet closing practice, a final garden breakfast, and a living takeaway to plant at home. Private transfer out. You leave with something that keeps growing.
Everything Included
What you receive
Truly all-inclusive, from the moment you land to the moment you leave. Nothing is sold to you once you arrive. Here is what each piece would cost arranged on its own.
Arranging the same five days yourself — a private villa, transfers, a daily cook, a movement guide, a bodyworker, and excursions — would cost more than this, and it would not arrive as one held experience. Raíz is the whole thing, woven together.

Our Promise to You
The First Day Promise
We shape the immersion around you before you arrive, and again once you're here. If, by the end of your first full day, it isn't right for you, we will reshape everything that follows around what you actually need. And if it still isn't right, you pay only for the days you stayed. The risk of arriving is ours, not yours.
Before You Decide
Held small, on purpose
We host one party at a time. The garden is never shared with strangers — when you are here, the place is yours. We open only a small number of stays each month. This is a quiet door, not a wide one.
This is for you if
- You want depth over amenities, and meaning over spectacle.
- You are drawn to food, soil, water, and slowness.
- You travel solo, as a couple, or as a small group of up to six.
- You want to come home with something you can keep doing.
This is not for you if
- You want a resort, a pool deck, and nightlife.
- You want a full, fast schedule with little rest.
- You'd rather be one of fifty than the only guest.
- You're looking for the cheapest week in the Caribbean.
